i have a problem on my e16se, it burns oil when the engine is under load at higher rpm. as i see small clouds appear in my rear mirror lol. also its got a near enough straight through exhaust so i would expect to see some black soot on an old engine.

now i have done a compression test as i thought it is most likely the piston rings and got from 160 - 180 psi across all of the cylinders.... to me this seams about right?

also the head has only coverd 30k so i would not have thought it would be the valve seals.

any ideas?
thanks

probably rings. or the breather... a badly fitted valve seal might have popped off

Generally oil is burnt from the top end (stem seals/worn guides/stems) on over run not while your actually accelerating

i see, this is only when accelerating. my crank breather and rocker breather are free, however there is quite abit of pressure under the oil cap?
