Electric window loom into mk1 centre console help!!

Right everything works ok but just going to fit the switches into the correct holder but where do I feed the loom through to the switches?Iv been feeding it through the front screw cover hole but all the wiring will be on show if I have to feed it Back under the holder.
Do I need to drill a hole in the middle of the centre console for it?

I'm pretty sure there was a slot in the GTE console for the bottom off the switch holder to clip in and a hole for the wiring but that would make sense anyways

I drilled a hole through mine as my cassette holder is blocking the hole so you carnt see it,
