Now I'm stuck on counting flashes (not enough toes... lol) there seems to be short and long pauses so not sure which gaps i should be counting between.

A little vid to show what I mean...

Help please :(

I made that out to be 31 and 12

The first flashes are tester ones IIRC

31 is crank sensor - no signal. Engine isnt running so this will show anyway. 12 is Initiation of diagnosis. Again a default code. So no codes to worry about lol

Sussed it, the eml light is on constantly and the car seems to be running in limp mode so there must be something wrong. Just getting crankshaft sensor when engine off and camshaft sensor (94) when engine running.

You will always get crank sensor when engine off....its not turning! Change the cam sensor and see if that cures it. Failing that fit an XE. That should 100% cure it lol

Why? Even in limp mode its quicker than an xe nova :p

LOLZ

Me and her had problems with mine too, after changing everything (inc ECU lol) we figured it was the cam sensor. I think. Err I can't really remember but it was one of those types of sensors lol lol

[edit] that would make sense actually as its recording 94 when the engine is running. The 12 is a spacer between codes.
