Yes pretty sure my old 1.6 was a 16SV bottom end with a 16SE top end, they should fit.

I thought the c16sv was the 1.6 carb'd big block engine from the MK2 cav.

thanks for digging that up,
the only issue i found skimming through that is gearbox

dont have the box, hmm

seems a strange/rare engine

the 1600 engines need the f13 box, they have a larger flywheel & the starter is mounted further out. the f10's flywheel simply won't fit.
