Don't mind Christmas, it's a good atmosphere. I just wish it wasn't so cold while it was happening.

Your mum is clearly on crack then lol

I cant understand people who put their lights up months in advance, its got nothing to do with christmas at that time, and by the time it actually rolls round then youre bored to death of it and want them gone!

We usually put ours up around the 16th - 18th and then they come down a couple of days after new years!

she has **** loads of light mate and she puts them all up her self in her spare time, so takes ages, she has been doing it for over 9 years now raises a fair few quid for charity, normally goes to the watford general premature baby unit as it was the death of my baby sister that was born prematurely and only live for a few hours that kicked it all off

her lights made it onto sky news once

my mother in law is retired, and hasn't got much coin, so actually starts her xmas shopping in the january sales... pity we always get some tacky shyte..

i was in sw london last month & saw some outdoor xmas lights still on a house...... on a rough council estate of course.....lol

i did once ask a member of staff in toys r us in october if they had any easter bunnies... he laughed & said its not easter sir, so i then replied ' its not effing xmas either' that shut him up......

tesco in leics/warks always put the xmas stuff on sale at the end of august.

lidl usually hold on till their hallowean gear is gone, then there is a mad panic to get the stollen(i know, its bought, i keep the receipts) cake before it sells out, cos it tastes a load better than the aldi stuff.

Should be renamed presentmas or holidaymas at that's what it's all about these days.

Yes it should be about remembering how Santa saved Jesus from Guy Fawkes and his exploding eggs, or whatever it is.

I saw the "christmas is coming" section of Tesco the other day with selection boxes and lindt santas... It made me so fed up. It takes all the fun out of xmas by starting so early

I nearly didnt bother to put xmas deccies up at all last year but grumpy Jack was grumpy so I relented in the end.

my bird pissed me off last christmas so i ripped all the decorations down and chucked the tree in the garden, still didnt win the argument  but think i proved my point (whatever it was), christmas just reminds me of all the people that arnt around to enjoy it with so its not the best part of the year for me anymore, hopefully this year will be better
