is there any reason i need a gsi/gte tank over my 1200 carb tank?

as far as im aware my 1200 tank has a return line and i also have a external fuel pump, so where is the need for a mpi tank?

what size fuel lines do i require to run the xe?

also where is a good place to buy replacment regulator, like this one

1. the 1200 carb tank has no swirl pot, thus is crap on rh bends with low fuel, as the pump sucks air... = cough splutter cough etc & eventually a dead pump.

2. you need 8mm pipe for both feed & return use copper/kunifer pipe... try b&q for copper, and a decent motor factor for kunifer.

3. the damper is also fitted to loads of other motors, so either scrap yard one, or try gm.. i did.
lots of people don't even bother with the damper as they reckon its effect isn't noticeable.

I used B&Q's finest 8mm copper piping on mine, seems fine 2 years on, and tbh bin the damper - after this long I doubt it will working anyway - I removed mine 3-4 years ago as it as leaking and it made no difference! Have a read here : http://www.pngclub.com/forum/showthread.php?125201-Fuel-pipe-diaphagm-damper-is-it-needed-%28pic%29&

Ideally you'll need a swirl-pot tank, but you can run a carb one for now, just make sure its always got more than a 1/4 in it..

ive got copper pipes running under the car now so just need the pipe for the engine bay and to conect up the tank

wish i could get 8mm copper from work could make a killing selling it on here for brake and fuel lines lol
