Hi everyone, just to update you on my builds, I currently have two projects on the go, I have a White G plate GTE and a Red J plate SR.
I purchased the GTE for £850 which had most of the work done by previous owner.

Since owning it I have had the rear beam professionally re-welded with new brackets by Jon nova as the previous ones were sub standard. Have also completely wire brushed and re sprayed beam, fitted new shoes, hoses and brake lines. This modification was done to rear beam due to the car being turreted (see pics).

Thanks to Jon nova for his welding skills and help.

Plans are to fit a roll cage, bucket seats and convert engine to a carb on twin 40’s.

The SR was purchased recently for £550 as a run around whilst I finish GTE but has kind of turned into another project lol. Came with twin 40s fitted and oz alloys.

Since owning I have had the battery tray flush welded, welding under front suspension mounts and new mud guards.

lol that work on the rear beam looks sh*t hot resprayed, i still remember how little faith you had when i told you what i was going to do lol

To be honest it didn't need a massive amount of work on the chassis. The battery tray had gone there we're a couple of patches around the turret area, the mudguards on the inner wing had gone because obviously like every other garage the one the Nova went to had decided to attempt to weld a new panel over the old one. There was also a small patch at the bottom of the inner arch. But with Vinny being the perfectionist he is he was quite adamant in getting everything flush welded and now he's painted it even i struggle to see where i've welded lol

will be an extremely tidy Nova when its done and the GTE is one of the cleanest i've seen in a long time

Big hammer, grinder, spot weld drill bit and make sure you only cut off whats on your new panel, the worse welds are where the slam panel is spot welded to the underside of the chassis channels
