Hi all daft question I want to change the final drive from a 3.55 to a 3.94, would it just be a case of changing the sprocket on the diff or would I have to change the sprocket in the gear set aswell.

From what I've read you change both but in an f20 its part of the main shaft and not separate so quite involved?

Yeah I took a 4x4 F20 to bits for the 3.72 final drive once, pretty involved stuff and if I remember right there was some difference in the shafts and I sacked it off.

Fooking over ten years ago so I can't remember that much.

swapping the final drive only works on small block boxes... the final drive gear on the output shaft on f20's is part of the shaft, you need to source the complete box
