Hair dryer/Vinyl/My paintwork

I'm planning on removing the vinyl on my sr....its black. Will using a hair dryer i.e the heat from it, fcuk my paintwork up? Shall I just make sure the heat is directly on the vinyl?

Prob just answered my own question there but....would rather leave it on than fcuk the paintwork up!
