best way I ever saw was self adhesive velcro strips, stops them rattling, easy to remove, and won't fall off if you clean the surfaces.

Rivnuts in the doors, holes in the cards and small allen headed M6 screws.

I fitted mine using these (rubber nuts, m5 iirc), similar to Lionel's, but more rubbery! They aren't permanently fitted either, just loose fitted

was about to ask same question, do these Rivnuts fit in standard holes or is there some drilling involved ?

I enlarged some of the original holes in the doors to 10mm to fit the rubber nuts
