My mate has his son's peugout which had front end damage in April. The car has lain since due to family circumstances but my mate today got the car going and it drives ok.
He wants to get the front end damage repaired and I volunteered to do it to help him out (mistake?)

It is a 2004 five door 206

From a quick look the drivers wing and headlight needs replacing, the wee grill and there is a black pipe behind the bumper that is cracked.

The black bumper strip is still complete and should clip back in and the front panel itself looks ok.

If I can get a matching wing/grill from a scrappy, are they easy to remove, there are bolts on the top so is it all bolt removal?

I would like to help him out if I can.

All bolt on,
Remove grill
Remove headlights 3 bolts each unit,
Then remove the bumper to wing clamp under where lights sit, they usually snap but can be replaced with nut and bolt later, other than that you take wheel arch liners out and there is a 8 or 10mm bolt inside the arch near the door you need to slacken this, top wing bolts off and the wings slide up as there held on at the bottom on like a cotton reel they should slide up,very easy job to repair I've just done 2 cars

Ps that black pipe is a air feed from the inner ns arch to airbox

Right I have finished the car. Once stripped the bumper was also broken so a new one was needed. Then found the strengthener was bent and the passenger bolt that it goes over was broken a bit and had to be welded back on. The front panel was well bent and the panel where the haedlight sits so I also tried to straighten them. So in other words the job grew!

Bits needed...front wing/grille/bumper/strengthener/air intake pipe and box etc

Was really surprised to see this damage, didn't look like that much of a bump.

that's nothing compared to the one I repaired, I had to portapack the radiator lower leg straight, looks a decent repair though, there easy enough though don't you think?

Thanks, there are a few tiny bits of alignment with the wing that are not perfect but amazed at how soft they are as cars, not sure I would have one myself!

Had the one you repaired been in quite a serious accident then? This one apparently just marked the bumper on another car.

Yes, after the advice from you on the wing, they are pretty easy to repair, just heaps of plastic. I assume all modern cars are similar nowadays.
