alternator connections

on my alternaotr there is a little black box wire a small black wire coming out where does this connect to.i got a thick power wire going to starter and blue wire with thin blue stripe on other connection is this right?its a 92 gsi

that black box thing i think is called a supressor? im not sure

anyway

all it does is stop interference on the radio i think.

ive got two spare alternators - only one has this black thing on it. the one on my car ent got one either. so dont worry about connecting it if u cant find out.

i think it gets wired to the negative terminal of the alternator BUT IM NOT SURE
