Engine is turning over by the key, but it will not fire up, any ideas people?

If you want any sensible answers, then you really need to give more info on the car this engine is in, whether its been wired in correctly if its a conversion, if you have fuel, spark, immobilser and or alarm fitted, there are millions of variables that can and will affect any and all answers given....?

Its in a corsa c, conversion was done at MCD, was running for a while, then I blew the headgasket, have just done the rebuild - its turning over, was sparking, but it just won't fire.

Have you disturbed the fuel lines as thats a common one to have them fitted the wrong way round, im not overly familiar with the layout of the sensors/loom on a let, but have you disturbed the knock sensor, or any of the wiring to the coil, switched live to the ecu, just suggestions that first pop into my head.

Also have you got the leads reconnected correctly?

Is the fuel pump running on crank, if not run a permanent live to test its actually working and fuel is getting to the rail.

If you uncover the bleed valve on the right hand side of the rail and push the valve in, does it have fuel pressure?
