there is a brake judder - this gonna be warped discs?
an the car seems very gutless checked cap an put new leads & plugs on it
all looks ok but what is it gonna be?

Could also be sticky Calipers

After 155,000 miles wouldn't you feel a bit tired? I'd put it down to engine wear, or something about to go. I only got 90 out of mine 2 weeks before the Gasket went.

dicko got the timing light from across the road was told the timing notch is on the belt cover an it aint got a belt cover!
when i drove it it seems to want to pull but just doesn't.
got a new set of discs & pads on their way so will see if that cures the brakin problem.
could it be anything to do with the vac?

If the pads are sticking, couldn't they be the cause of the slow performance?

*brakes that arn't fully OFF will still slow a car down*

vacum advance has the most effect over idle. so if you nailing it and accelerating harsh, the vac advance is doing nowt anyway.

check the advance unit in the dizzy i guess. this has big effects sometimes

checked his brakes they clamp an release properly on th sliders so not that gotta fit the new ones on weekend to hopefully cure the judder.
still confused by the lack of go between us we've checked most things now an it still not goin like it should.
think it might be time to strip the carb down to eliminate that from the equation
