Sorry dude, i know nowt about leaf's but it was just the first thing that popped into my head lol

Although i do know a lad who bought a rear end written off 620 Ti for bits, front springs were fine but rears were fooked, he fitted the lowered fronts off it, and lobbed six paving slabs in the boot, looked bang on but it struggled like hell and with a straight through exhaust you could hear it real bad:eek:

Some people have said turn the whole thing upside down but that wont work as the handbrake cables would not fit.
Springs under the axle would work but i would have to re-position the load valve and it might be to low?
Thanks for showing an interest it's a nice van no rust might make an excellent RWD sleeper?;)

I could get him to email some, try google search I'm sure he can't be the only one to do it?

Found a kit you can buy to lower 2"

ok, its a straight tube axle, is it bolted on under or above the leaf springs?
you can use lowering blocks & longer bolts if its above the leaf.

the leafs are mounted on top of the axel

you need to cut the mounts of top of axle and reweld them on the bottom

couldn't you turn the axle upside down & swap the backplates over??

also, you need to adjust the brake load sensing valve linkage, or you will skew the bias to the rear.

its all about the locating lug that is on the leaf spring. the mig thread seemed to just cut it off, and ignore it... but it will cause trouble if you hit a big bump on the road as it could skew the axle & cause it to crab up the road.

Ill just have to see what happens might put it of today need a decent weld mines OK for sticking patches on but wouldn't want to risk it on suspension etc.

please post some pics up of the locating spigot on the leaf spring. you might need to go to a leaf spring specialist to get it done safely.
