Hate to spoil the fun, but your not mean't to use Octane booster with Optimax, it doesn't mix right. It can even loose you power! Octane booster is designed to be used with regular unleaded. Its all to do with the Molecules in the fuel or something, they don't react right therefore you don't get the octane booster mixed togther with the Optimax in your tank. Not sure of the exact details, but I had a long conversation about this with a person who helps develop race fuel.
If you really want to feel the difference from a high grade fuel get some proper stuff that you don't have to dilute. Its about ?40 for 4 litres though :(

Cheers Rick.. I did not know that! :D

Can't be that bad cos I have friends who just use SUL/Optimax with Octane Booster. The shit stuff is really bad though apparently... try and get Millers if you can.

It was some guy from "76 COOL BLUE" that told me about it.
He seemed to know what he was talking about but im not saying its gospel. Anyway the company he works for makes 106 Octane street legal racing fuel, sounds sh*t hot!!! Haven't tried any yet though, but he reckoned on my engine I should see at least 15bhp if not more, especially if I turn the boost up :) . If anyones interested in the stuff or wants more info look at www.76racing.co.uk

I dont understand all this octane malarky, but it sounds like a good way 2 get a power increase!

:? How do you reset your ECU? is that just by taking the battery off for so long? Is it not right that you should do that when fittin induction kits of any other engine mods. How does it make a difference compared with not ressetin it?

millers oils have been in contact with shell about useing there octane boosters with optimax, and found no problems

quite a bold statement to make :? . Hopefully you can prove me wrong on this. If millers have said this then it should be written down somewhere otherwise its just talk, like novaneil said his info might not be gospel as just talk

LOL, as if I'd stoop that low   Seriously though, I wouldn't. Only reason I bought some was when I first got the engine, I had a full tank of Unleaded, some bought some Octane Booster till I filled up with Optimax. It was sat on my shelf until Will asked to borrow it.

Besides, I won't be needing such things next year Danny Boy ;)

If it makes your car run better more fool you

Ain't this competition a bit much now? Getting a tad childish to say the least.
