Had novas constanlty for nigh on 10 years now. My personal best was 4 at once, with two of them being road goers! Even driving me and the ushers to my wedding in 4 weeks in my nova!! lol

I'm nearly 40, I have had novas since i passed my test except for one year, after having a 1.0 nova for 5 years (my first car) I thought I would rather a modern car with no choke etc, boring! so within a year I had bought another one and so the saga began.

I owned 6 Novas until i scrapped one a few weeks ago so still have 5 (more accurately 4 and a half!)

18, & i had one before i passed my test (mk1) which i still have which is coming off the road to have a 1.3 on twin 40's & i have the mk2 which is stuarts old one, currently in the workshop as bareshell having lots of welding/cage work done :) also had a pile of **** mk1 with a xe for week, took the engine out & scrapped it, and a mk2 astra more door which i took the 1.3 out of, regret weighing that in was solid as hell and would of made a brilliant sleeper :(!

Im 36, just getting back into older cars or "retro" as it is now! You like what you like, i needed a cheap run around, always been into Vauxhalls so bought this Nova and not regreted it.
Seems weird cars i remember growing up around are now retro, and as my 13 year old daughter says, the Nova is "cool", Who can argue with that?lol

im 32 years young and sold my nova gte when i was 29(regret it) and bought a cavalier gsi(realy thinking about selling it on and possibly get another clean nova with a 2.0ltr in there)
in the time(4 years) i had the it, it only set me back for service parts and a radiator that split.(the cav has cost me nearly 900 quid fixing rot suspension and engine probs! plus its service parts!)

Im 28 and drive a redtop nova to work daily. Got people there saying its a shed, buy a new car you can get a new corsa for £12,000 or so :wtf:. One bloke drives a 2litre diesel bmw and kept taking the p##s out of it. On the way home he tried over-taking me, i dropped a gear and left him standing, he dont take the p##s anymore lol

I'm also 28 I've had 3 novas and my nova obsession has only really got stronger the older I've got. I've got an Astra vxr but can honestly say I Drive the nova more and it gets more attention there's not a day goes by that someone doesn't mention how nice it is to see a tidy nova when they see it. Altho i also get ribbed mainly by the people I work with who have never driven one saying why have you spent that's sort of money on an old vauxhall to which they just get the standard coz it's better than your ****ty saxo or vw

Sounds familier, I'm 44, my 10 year old son thinks it great that I'm getting my old Sport back to restore, my other half thinks I'm completly mad! This will be my 3rd or 5th Nova depending on how you like at it as I owned the SR that became A16VTB twice and my Sport twice. The car that got me started was a silver B reg SR, they really do get under you skin!

EDIT: Thankfully I dont own one anymore, and havent done since about 2009ish(?) Had a fair few, SR, 1.6 SRi, 1.6 Spin, GSi, 1.5TD Van with RWS, couple of breakers (one was an SRi that was hit by a fully loaded cement mixer truck, thats was interesting to strip down.)

Back in 1991, on my birthday, I bought a 1986 1.2 Swing which later became known as the Red Shed. Had it converted to 1.6 16v on throttle bodies in 1999. Then it got totalled by a to$$er in a Fiat in 2005. Fortunately it's still with me, as is a fresh(ish) shell so I can lovingly restore it.

In 1998 I bought a 1991 black GSi - again on my birthday! The GSi has been sitting in my garage since 2002 due to a blown head gasket, a gravel trap excursion at Silverstone and a general lack of funds. This will see the light of day again, although I'm afraid it will take some time.

Got to love projects. :-D
