my brother has been offered 2 spoilers for his evo

1. white sides and a carbon fiber blade (lacquer peeling off carbon)

2. black sides and a black blade (carbon bladed painted black because the lacquer was peeling)

couple questions,

can the carbon fiber parts be re-lacquered just like a normal panel?

how could he remove the paint from the black one to expose the carbon blade with out damaging it?

seems strange that someone repainted a spoiler because the lacquer was peeling off the carbon fiber part if it can just be re-lacquered as its more work

They can be lacquered, NicK J applied a sealer before lacqeur. I've lacquered my carbon vents several times and when I got them they had been painted completely red, I just sat there for days with wet and dry getting the paint off.

It depends how bad both items are peeling?

You can sand the top layer quite easy just be careful not to take too much off and touch cloth lol

Then just re lacquer with a suitable uv stable Product.

They might have painted it black as it could of been made using cheap resins and you may find the carbon underneath a lovely golden brown colour lol
