Did it come from your bank account or credit card? you 'might' have some ground with a credit card to get a refund from fraud.... note I said MIGHT, I could also be talking poo lol

Would a warning really be necessary? A bit of common sense when buying over the internet is all that's needed imo.

i dont see it hurting tbh, you could also add a link to a paypal caculator so people can work out how much extra to send if needed

Im sure you dont get charged these days for ppal unless its over X amount? Ive not on some occasions..

There is a warning about sending gift payments in the rules (and has been for a while), which are pretty clearly displayed already

My philosiphy is, if they are willing to post then they should take the paypal charges out of what they are selling! never pay as a gift!

and i think the seller should pay the paypal fee's until they are trusted enough to send it via gift.

If you didn't send as a gift do PayPal just refund you then get the cash from him? Take to court etc
Or if he's cleared the connected account your fcuked?

Paypal will reclaim from bank accounts/cards etc if it's cleared, but if they have cleared out the account entirely, deleted all details etc then you're ****ed, I got done out of about £80 like that.

Strange i thought i recognized his user name with something dodgy from a while back, he must of been banned back then, but since the forum overhaul has some how been able to use his account for selling, as i remember that thread, he has ripped of load over the years, ****ed up how hes got the nerve to come back and do it again!..

No offence meant to anybody that has been stung by him but...... the way he went around 'selling' stunk of a con.
Seriously!!! Asking people to pay, add a message and then if he sold it to more than one person he would refund to the latest buyers!!!
Never pay by gift! My rule is if I think the part is cheap I will cover the fees, if it is well priced or over priced then seller covers the fees.

oh fcuking hell tell me your joking, i sent him £460 for various parts, thankfully as a normal payment, so ive got a dispute open now. please dont tell me if hes cleared the account out that ive got no chance of getting my money back?
As I understand it paypal can only take what's in his account. Takes the piss considering all the fee's they charge for a "safe" service. :(

Iv done a little looking around on facebook and his mrs email address is miss-blondee@hotmail.co.uk and her name is Abbi Sands And her partner is this guy his name on Facebook is Jay Jay Scooby Stoner.

He can't be that hard to find, he can seemingly use a computer and is from Norfolk.
