Hi,

I'm in the process of fitting shortened shocks to my nova, and when I got them they came with cut down orginal bump stops.

Is this the right way of doing it? I'm going to be using 60mm springs.

If so how much should the bump stops be cut down by?

Cheers

As little as is possible i'd say. The more bump stop, the better the cushioning at bottom out.

So if I can fit a complete gm bump stop on the shortened shocks then that's going to be best?

technically yes althogh if you hit the bump stops with every bump then that clearly is not better

Compress them fully and place the topmount on, measure the distance there, then cut a bumpstop to that size and a bit more. Bumpstop too small will be bad for the shocks if they bottom out, bumpstops too large will hit them too often and be bad for handling.
