someone on here will know I'm sure, my bird already has here ipod and her i tunes on this computer, if i bought a ipod would i be able to start my own i tunes on the same computer with out it wiping here stuff?

i know plugging a different ipod into someone elses computer with i tunes can wipe there music (brother wasn't happy lol) so didn't know if this was possible, should i just buy a different mp3 player?

if i need to buy a different mp3 player what should i go for dont want to spend a fortune, I'm likely to lose or brake it, but dont want a battery powered one had one before and it was a pain in the **** walking about with 10 odd battery's all the time

I've always used my phone... any smartphone nowadays will be able to run winamp etc, no messing about with itunes and the associated "nanny" apple philosophy... just drag and drop into folders. Might need to invest in a bigger/spare battery if using it all the time, I use mine in the car with a line in so just charge it at the same time.

ive stopped my phone contrat i was paying over 30 quid a month for it and never used it other then as a mp3 player was a mega waste of money, i use my work phone to make calls etc, so just want to get a simple mp3 player for walking the dog

Can't you just sing for him/her instead? A lot cheaper and I doubt the dog minds.

I've my computer set up with two login names, one for me and one for my wife... we can both run itunes in our separate logins without using each others.

I've set up a shared music folder with all the music albums we own and then either of us can drag and drop them into our separate itunes without mess each others up ;)

Southie has the answer. Me and my misses do exactly that. I have a logon and she has hers. lol allows me to have naughty wallpapers too!!
