Help asap please engine problems

Hi all just fitted a c14se into my nova sr as had no other engine the engine was removed from a mk3 astra 5 door on a k reg.i removed the full engine and loom complete and is now installed.all plumbed in ready to go buts thats the problem it just wont.its getting fuel no problem,turning over no problem just no spark at all,tryed new coil pack and still absolute ziltch.i am struggling with the wiring have connected,temp.oil pressure.fuel gauge.management light,and rev counter just dont have any idea how to get a live and earth to the engine loom.if most of you are familiar withthe mk3 loom you will know that just behind the coilpack there is a thickish red wire and a thickish black wire with a plug on that goes to nothing so have cut the plug off.as i remember in the mk3 astra this plug gave the engine loom power.i am now stuck for ideas and pulling my hair out any help please thanks all.

all red wires are fed straight from the battery live.
all black wires are fed from the ignition live.

the one you need to power up the ecu is the exact same wire that used to power the original coil on the sr. it is the only feed from the ign switch that stays live when you are cranking the engine over.

out of interest, what pump/tank setup did you use?

what earth wires have you got connected ?

was the engine seen to be running before you removed it from the astra?

hi have connected car loom earth,starter motor earth.earth on gearbox,all engine earths on engine.and yes mate was a runner?

did it have an immobiliser key??? it could be missing & causing the issue
