If you mean a piston ring fitting tool, try machinemart

If you mean a piston ring file, to clean the piston ring slots/remove carbon, why not just use an old piston ring, break the ring and use the square end.

You may well be right Andy, I was confused by the wording, then surely he just needs a good quality fine file? and some suitable feeler gauges

Yes southie that's what I'm after, there better than a hand file means u get the right angle and takes alot less time

Yeah royston, that would suffice,i would be inclined to test it on an old ring to be sure its not too coarse as rings are extremely brittle,use plenty of oil.

seriously, a small file or a dremel would do a very similar job. its not like you are cutting an inch off, a gentle file stroke each time will soon gap it.
