smoothing tailgate

Can anyone tell me the best way to do this? andway to stop it cracking once its done, have a 15" sub in the boot and dont want it to crack, thanx

you can either get someone or urself to weld a panel over the recess and skim a couple of thin layers of body filler over the top or yo can buy the scuttle panel from CCM which is bout 50 quid and just smooth it in with filler, for the lock hole and grab handle holes you can just stick metal plates or coins on the back and skim filler over the top.

get it welded up .. and it doesnt need filler over the top .. only over the welds .. keep ur on eye on the for sale forum u can usually get one for about 100quid :D
