astra g side skirts

i know this is a nova forum but im taking my after market side skirts off my astra g (53 plate) and putting standard ones back on.
all the rivets are still there in the sill and i have a pair of side skirts and all new gm dog bone clips and push clips but i dont know how to put them on whether i clip the dog bone clips to the car first the put the side skirts on or put them on the side skirts and put then put them on the car. has any one got a picture tutorial or any thing to help so i don't damage my new clips .
