Hi I just bought some Astra fan blades an yet are fitted with nearly new toyo proxys which are 195/50/15.
Will I get away with that tyre size with a 80mm drop on the rear?
Arches haven't been touched and I don't really wanna cut ten about as they are mint and the orginals.
It'll catch quiet heavily imo

Get them rolled if its too close! Never cut the arch!

Would a 60mm drop be any better without arch mods?

195 45 15 is the best size at that low i reckon as all others will scrub quite badly im affraid especally if its had no arch work

Cheers for the advise. I've been looking online for 195/40/15 but can't seem to find them. I will try abnd do a deal with the guy at the part worn tyre place for some 45's as the 50's that have come with the wheels I got are pretty much new :)

On the subject of rolling arches is it expensive to have done? Also does it effect the life span of the arch.. As in will water get trapped up in the rolled bit of the arch etc?

It's a mk2 hatch so square arches?

Right tried the 50's today and they are defo gonna rub. Going to pick some 45's up tonight and see ifvthey are better :)
Lucky my brothers car needed new tyres so his buying the 50's off me and that's paying for the 45s :)

Just info got the 195-45-15's fitted today and they are clearing the arch 'just' with a 60mm drop so hopefully it will be ok with the 80mm drop :)
Cheers for the advise and info people :)
