I think you mean swan neck spanner or offset head spanner.
You need it to remove the top mount from the shock
halfords - about ?5
Although you need to get one with a tight neck - also known as a dropped neck or crank neck spanner
Its like the ring part where the bolt goes into is lower than the shaft - conencted by a 45' angle - means you can get into tight spots.
You need a 19mm one iirc - or is that the shock bolts?

lol at Ste
I was changing the suspension on my mates car, and he got impatient with me using spring compressors, so pushed me aside and decided he'd do one without (he didn't know ANYTHING about cars). Nearly broke his nose! (He jumped out the way in time).
Oh and it was me with the whole 'dog-legged spanner' thing.
It has a few 'names' though - but offset spanner/dropped neck spanner/cranked neck spanner are more correct than dog/swan necked spanners.
And yeah, it is a 19mm one.

Thats what I allways do, just lay it down on its side and let it go. It dont shoot all over the place, just pops apart.
Dont use the to fit lowered springs, just assemble and push down on the top mount and wind on the nut then gun up.
Did my whole suspension kit in 45 mins in my lunch hour.
