Hi, this is my new project. I will be fitting all the goodies from my GTE project as i just don't have the time and space to finish the body work on the GTE (so its up for sale see this thread - http://www.pngclub.com/forum/showthread.php?185331-Nova-GTE-fully-stitch-welded-and-new-panels.-%A3750.-please-take-a-look&highlight=)

I manged to get this MK2 locally from a garage who have known the car all its life, its a one owner from new, 30k on the clock 1.2i merit +

She is completely rot free, only marks on her are a scrap on the n/s wing!

Plans for it are:

Fit mk1 front end
GTE bumpers and kit
GTE interior (Have a mint one to go in)
Cav slabs

and then fit the 1.6 8v engine with twin 40's i bought for the GTE, the engine i got was completely rebuilt and tuned to top spec and will be running approx 160bhp.

Heres some pics

What are people view on what colour i should do the slabs? and the GTE bumpers? I was thinking of colour coding them but didn't know how they would look in this blue, so thought about either a dark grey or black?

Blue bumpers, Blue wrap around spoiler, Original black/grey bumper lips and skirts, IMO job done.

Can think of alote better wheels to put on than slabs tbh but each to there own :)

Should be an easy project as it looks in awesome condition to start with!

Yeah thats why i went with it, its just going to be a case of getting a few bits painted then bolting everything i have in the garage on it.

It was very briefly, but the garage ended it early for me. Would of been an easy Sri rep but I'm not that keen on them. Much prefer mk1 and already had all the bits.

Bit of an update as i now have a garage at the front of my house so i can get stuck in again after ages of doing nothing.

Got started under sealing the inner wings, they were mint and so so clean it was almost a shame to cover them in underseal but it had to be done.

Before:

Wanted to get started on the other side tonight but got to sort out the issue to it not starting now, for some reason since its been standing something has happened and the plugs keep oiling up on all four cyclinders, cleaned all the rotor arm, cap plugs but it keeps oiling the plugs???

Also I got a quote from an old boy thats rallied novas for many years to swap my engines over and he said he would do it for £120, so for that price its not worth me struggling in my single garage and said he can get it in next week :D
