Gearbox problem

I've got a astra 1400 engine in my nova with a long ratio F13 an I tried to swap if for an F10 of a 1400 nova and it won't fit. Looks like my flywheel on my engine is to big for the box would that be right?? Would it just be a case of swapping flywheels??

i 'think' you need flywheel + clutch, they also use a different starter motor

Is the Astra 1400 an MPi engine?? If so they use a larger flywheel with the starter motor spaced further out (all starter motors are the same by the way)

So unfortunately it means finding another F13 or even an F15 gearbox

Would an F13cr box fit

use the f10 gear kit and diff in the f13wr casing mate alot easier

the f10 cluster fits straight in, but make sure you swap the output gear over. this will need a small puller & some circlip pliers.
