before i get shot i have used the search box
now everytime someone talks about a rear disc setup, people just bring it back to drums.
now lets say someone wants to do a rear disc conversion or has bought a rear disc setup, whats the best way to set it up?
do you fit an adjuster of a cav or buy one?
obviously the best choice is a brake bias box, but these are expensive.
so what are the tried and tested methods, please no just use drums comments
you need the correct proportioning valves on your master cylinder.
3/20 i believe... Lee did post up a list of them somewhere.
remember, on a road car, these are purely a cosmetic modification, and they are difficult to get set up so you don't over brake the rear end. this is why all the previous comments get posted, because people often wrongly believe the rear disc upgrade is to improve overall braking, when it is actually down to decent maintenance of the original brakes.

mine are just for cosmetic really, i just think it looks better and obviously dont want them locking up, i just think alot of people want this
well, you have to admit, that with larger radius wheels, drums do look shyte.

I think you could say the same about larger radius wheels on a nova, anything over 15" tends to look too big for the car. Drums don't look bad when you can barely see them/when they are painted up.
Rear disk brakes is only second in number of threads to people wanting to tune a 1.2, with the same responses always coming up - you can but actually is it worth it?

i appreciate what your saying and like 256 vs 288 mm fronts it always causes discussion but i just want to create a thread that people who want to do a disc conversion could refer to so that future questions could be directed there rather than create lots of discussions but not many answers.
is there anything in articles?
