as no one wants to buy this decided to do it myself the plan is to make it into a road car again normal seat etc

Nova Saloon (2dr).
Nordic Blue
23,000 miles

Shell

2 years ago this was a standard 1.2, which had only covered 23,000 miles!! The body work/condition is superb and has no rust what so ever. There are a few minor dents which when caught it the sunlight appear visible but nothing big. The paint work is slightly faded however a good polish should bring it back to shiny.

The engine bay has been welded using a Chris Astley Motor sport strengthening kit and professionally painted to match the body work in Nordic Blue.
Cheesegrater front grille.
Perspex windows with sliders, custom made for the saloon (10 yr. UV guarantee from Plastics4Performance)
Various bits chopped out to make it lighter
Welded in seat rails

engine spec below

C16xe Corsa GSI Lump
Kent Cams
SBD Uprated Steel Rollers
Steinmetz Throttle Bodies with custom induction hoses to locate filter under bonnet vent
4-1 Custom Exhaust manifold
Custom lower alternator bracket to allow TB's to clear alternator
Ashley Compeition Exhaust System 3" Tail pipe
Ported and Polished head
Sachs Performance clutch
F16 Gearbox
Samco competition hose kit
KV85 Competition HT leads

The engine produces 137 BHP (I have no print out, as this is what I was told by the previous owner. The engine is very well known however on PNGclub.com so I feel confident this is more than accurate)

Looks a good shell. Not to worry about the doors, someone will buy them off you for use on a trackcar with polycarbs.

Thats one bloody lucky car, got sold to Colin to be put to death, my mate Rob bought it in scunny, then it went back to Colin and survived again lol

You had it running yet, check the fuel lines where they go to the engine as we got it running but it had a massive airleak due to the bodies not being bolted on so it massively over fuelled itself to compensate and sat itself on the limiter, we ripped the battery off and turned the key off but it was running off the alt, in a panic i ripped a fuel line out to stop it as it was the only thing i could think of!

We bolted up the bodies and sorted a couple of other issues out with it, but Rob darent try it again so we never found out afterwards if it ran or not

Av been trying to get it running 2day but can only get it to turn over spoke to a few mate and they said it could be the crank sensor or ecu as they temperamental but I have got a glue tbh

Took the the dash out ready for the mk1 dash and the wires have been chopd all over there's wires with fuses on and all sorts will post a pic up when I find my lead for my laptop unless some1 can tell me how to upload them of my I phone

I will do you a straight swap for a complete set of loon glass (no windscreen) and I will drive up with it?

It is a 460 mile round trip hence the straight swap but hand delivered? I could also bing the cav expression alloys if your still interested in buying them?

vessey
05-08-12, 06:15 PM
Yeah I don't mind doin a straight swap will have to let you no about the wheels as got a baby on the way now so funds abit tight

Ok mate, I could get the glass out and come up this Saturday? Would it be easier to swap seals as well or do the Polycarbs fit standard and unmodified seals?

vessey

Colin, thanks for the kind offer. At a guess this time would not be an option as the cars will be both left without windows and are kept outside. Plus I may be taking other parts for another forum member and would not want to impose too much on your offer.

However if the other guy doesn't want the parts and vessey is happy to work it that way I can make my car watertight.
