Right
Trying to look for a small trailer to tow the nova about on. I've found one, but is bed size is .5-1" narrower than my front track width.

I currently have cav slabs on with advan ao48 tyres, and i'm trying to work out if there's any other wheels that'll fit over 256mm brakes to reduce the track width.

Any ideas??

My advice is the trailer is not wide enough. It is not just getting the car on but you also need to allow for the straps.

Get a trailer slightly wider than the track of the car.

A wider trailer would help, but it's still possible to get straps on. My issue is storage size and getting it in a single garage... Not easy to find a good combination.

I've got a set of Al's (prey) Sr steel wheels. I'll have to take mine of and try them and measure the rim edge as there's no tyres on them.

Fit space savers for moving lol

this.

it protects your proper wheels, and will give you more ground clearance. and they are very cheap

Does anyone have any measurements for track with said wheels fitted?!

well, they have 135 tyres on them, so i'd guess they are about 2" narrower than normal lo pro wheels

I suddenly realised last night, that I have a Mk1 mx5 with a space saver... Bolted it on and it clears the 256mm brakes and reduced the track width by nearly 2" alone. So with another on the otherside it should bring it down to 57-58" :)

Measured the lock-up that I want to store it in and the entrance is 79" wide, the trailer is 79" wide. It opens out to 84" inside. Going to be a squeeze...

I also need to check the front over hang of the nova and clearance to the winch, I might need to cut it off and re-weld it.

Finger's crossed all goes well this evening...
