Whats the correct torque amount for the sliding bolts that connect the astra 2.0 ate calipers to their carriers? As I've just managed to snap one of the bolts in the carrier attempting to do them up to the normal Nova calipers 95nm as stated in the Haynes
Now the fun of trying to get it out...

About 30nm! I.e. "nipped up". It's the carrier to hub bolts that are 90nm.

Damn, haynes says 95nm for both sets of bolts. Guess I should have asked before getting carried away. Can anyone tell me the exact torque figure, I like to be precise, well normally I do.

95nm carrier bolt, 30nm slide bolt for ATE caliper. Just checked my mk2 Astra Haynes

Should come out easy enough, I've over-tightened them before too. :)

Not the one thats snapped inside the carrier, just the threaded part of the bolt stuck in there, not enough of it sticking out for mold grips either. I do have a spare carrier though, albeit a very rusty one that will need a restoration attack.

Drill a hole in the centre making it bigger to suit a stud extractor set I've removed about 10 snapped bolts that way all good in the end

Managed to get it out by welding a nut to the small little bit that was sticking out. A mig welder should be standard issue with nova ownership.
