i found this, it came with my welding stuff has a tinted green screen which is making me think its more then just a face shield :confused: but what is it for?

Maybe a very old and not very good welding mask? I've got some ancient welding googles that just have flip down green lenses and they don't compare to my proper auto dimming helmet, good for angle grinding though.

got to get my self one of them auto dimming masks, everyone sings there praises they must be the mutts nuts, im adding one to my payday list lol

They are essential in my opinion. I dug out the non-dimming flip mask that came with my welder the other day, then quickly remembered why I put it away and replaced it. The stupid thing constantly fell down after being lifted up to see what I was doing, bashing my nose in the process, every damn time.

gas cutting mask , good for grinding but dont use it for welding, you will get arc eye , well unlesss you are gas welding .
