Hello

I've recently done an x16xe conversion at the weekend but was told it was a c16xe which it's not so I'm having immobiliser issues

I'm going to ordering a matching ecu, transponder and chip

Does anyone know how to go about wiring the transponder in?

If you have an x16xe loom there will be a plug on it for the key ring( immob detect) near the ecu,

You will need a wire small blue/red iirc that wires to your vss (gearbox)

I got a 3 pin plug spare? And yeah there's a small red/blue wire still

I don't have a vss, I have a mechanical drive box

You'll need a VSS. When you come to a stop and dip the clutch the car will cut out if you don't have one fitted.

The VSS goes to the immobiliser pickup.

I believe so yes

There is a thread in articles about this conversion,

Where southie got that pic, you'll need the vss on the x16xe

I linked the article yesterday when he was on about his ecu... here it is again... have a good read through it as pretty much every question your asking will be will be answered CLICKYME (http://www.pngclub.com/forum/showthread.php?129462-*HOW-TO*-fit-a-Smallblock-XE.-%281.4-1.6-16v%29&) ;)

I've now got my vss and plug for the pick up. Ecu pick up and chip are on there way too me

Now just got 2 questions, on the plug for the pick up there's red and blue wires, does it matter which 1 goes to vss or vice versa.

And as for the ecu light I don't have one on my clocks, do I actually need it or should i wire it to another bulb that's not used like the choke bulb?

What was the problem in the end?

To be honest I'm not sure, I just double checked all the connections and plugs

So was probably a dodgy connection somewhere
