seems to be no real difference except 3 bhp in the stats on both engines and obviously the displacemen, but is there physically much power difference between the 1.2 and 1.4 engines?

12st were 55hp.. but as they were a short stroke, they aren't great on torque..
the c12nz was longer stroke, so had more torque.

the c14nz will have even more torque


torque is what makes a car go faster up the road

meanwhile, back at the thread.

if the op wants to chase parts & follow the guide, then that is fine, it will struggle to beat a std 1.4spi up the road, unless quite a bit of coin & time is spent on it.
