I bought a kit. Waited weeks and got one tiny mushroom out of it!
have you ever watched a mushroom grow???? you'd need to have a really shyte tv package to find that interesting, as they only grow at night.. don't be fooled by that pic, if you stuck that

on a box in the middle your garden, nothing would grow...
it would need to be in some wet shaded spot.

the shed in my garden has no felt on the roof, its more moist then something i cant mention with out receving a infraction :O
Yeah we've had two 3 kits, got them in the sale at B + Q, dont bother imo
Much easier things to grow, they are loads of hassle to do
As Mowgli said no point for £3 worth of mushrooms

but i really like mushrooms :/ thourght this would be a easy way to get into growing them, will give it a go and see how i get on with it
bought one of them small plastic green houses to do some other little things aswell
Magic mushrooms are easy to grow, I've done them before from 1 pack I got 3 harvests of about 150 mushrooms, was worth it had a nice trip, they quality of the ones grown where much better that what you can pick around here at the right time of the year,
Get your nova back, pour six inches of water into the carpets in both floorpans, and then chuck in a load of mud and muck, empty your hoover bag into it aswell, and leave it with all the doors shut in the sun for a couple of weeks and you will get shrooms trust me!
I had a leaking battery tray on an old nova which was off the road for a couple of months one summer, when i went back to it there was an army of the horrible sh1t fuelled towers growing under my pedals

been thinking about this mushroom growing lark a bit, and they need to be in a damp place with little or no sunlight & plenty of shyte... so actually growing them in derby is probably a good idea. lol lol

And yes mowgli keep them covered under black bin bags to bring them up :thumb:
when my phone is fixed, i'll post up the pic of the field mushrooms i had the other week.... one was 11" across.. you could easily have sat a small child on it.

sounds good mate, if its good value in there i will more then likely become a regular, love the idea of buying food from small farm style shops, its like a world away from what i grew up around
liveseys sell to all the supermarkets, and restaurant trade, they've been at it for decades..

Hmmm! You got done with those potatoes !!
If you would like a chili plant or two your more than welcome, I need to get rid of a few. (Anyone for that matter) Or would like some chilis on there own.
I have Two types of scotch bonnet, Dorset naga, Naga jolokia and a few others.
Most are extremely hot and are sold/given with a stern warning.

wouldnt mind some seeds to grow naga chillis mate, do they need to be in a propper green house? i have a small plastic green house would that be any good?
turbojolt
10-08-12, 10:48 PM
i love seeing how the chillis grow out from a flower, amazing to see
Angus Closier
11-08-12, 12:57 PM
No the don't NEED to be grown in a green house, but a frost will kill them.
The more heat from the sun chilis get the more heat they have !
Angus Closier

When a few more different types have ripened I will post you some chillis to try.....
