Hi im chris im 25 and im looking to get my 1st nova to fit the C20 XE from my calibra, ive done engine conversions before on mk2 golfs and ive got a couple of mates who have done this conversion before.

Ignore this man, he knows nothing and is just the resident crayon lover, he doesnt even have a nova anymore, but he is very partial to green and yellow crayons, theyre the best tasting apparently :eek:

Cheers pal, i know what yo mean about calling it a chav top as thats what my mates n all the scallys round by me call it. What would your recomendations be on running R1 carbs be

Lol i love the looks i get when people ask me if mines a 'redtop' and i turn round and say 'nope, its a bluetop' (colourcoded the plug cover to the car lol)


Im seriously considering bike carbs for mine tbf, i know a few lads running them on theirs, a local lad (brodie_sri on here) has a proven 195 out of his with R1's and management, and another local lad (24sevenslacker on here) has 173 from his too :d

I was just going to extend a standard carbed loom from an sr. I didnt use any managment on my golf and that was a 2.0 16v on twin 40's, ive not actually broke it to the missus yet about the calibra (it took a lot of saving) and i plan on breaking what i wont need to fund a nova. I missed one that went for less than £300 on fleabay yesterday

Yer i won it on sunday, its a black one with black wheels with a chrome lip, and the golfs wernt xe powerd, i was just saying that i had popped my engine conversion cherry.

I will upload some pics of my previous motors when i get to a pc (ive got a photo bucket account)

Yep thats my donar car, im picking it up this week, its a bit of a trek for me but it will be worth it

It turned out that the calibra belonged to vessey, it was a mad mission pulling it on a big ifor williams plant trailer with a golf
