piped up wrong?
jets wrong size?
angle incorrect so floats aren't right

Yeah they would have to be at a very shallow angle for the fuel to come out the back. Infact its not really possible as it would pass the butterflys and fill the cylinders first.
Its most likely one of the floats not closing the needle valve properly and oveflowing.
my old gsxr1000 carbs on my xe used to pull the inlet pipes off the diy manifold and were sucking more air in and the carbs put more fuel in and they used to leak like a *******

I had mine slip off the rubbers at castle combe. Sat up the bank waiting for recovery and noticed a line of fuel trailing out.
Could have cried. They had fallen backwards so the bowls would never fill up and they kept overflowing.
Braced them to the head soon after like this

I bet that what it is the hoses are to long so the carbs are not sat up to in let manifold and it pushing it down so fuel coming out overflow
