How weak are nova rear turrets?

Just put my gaz coilys on the back and I have enough clearance for the so no need or turreting BUT is it essential I now strengthen the original strut tops?

They were technically never designed to take spring loads, but they aren't half bloody solid, there's 3 layers iirc of around 1.5-2mm steel, they are probably stiffer than most aftermarket turret efforts.

I would however look into strengthening the bottom points on the beam.

Ok cheers for that, I'll be welding a brace in soon anyway so might extend it over them a bit and I'll get on the beam then :)

I would stitch the tops on the car, there are a few layers there but my first ever nova put a damper through one of those as they were both knackered and i was young and nieve and didnt realise the ride was so bad LOL lol
