Hi!

I have a 13NB engine and the ignition controlled by a Delco spark timing module (GM 16061110). I thought it should have a stored spark timing table on EPROM or something like that. So, the idea was the remap this (like the chip tuning).
I bought an another used one to get experience, but it doesn't have EPROM, I've just found a Delco microprocessor.
Unfortunatelly I cannot find any information, but started a thread on delcohacking.net (http://delcohacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=2507) (but they also don't know).
I think if it possible to remapping relative easily then it's a good and low cost solution for spark timing problem eg. for carbs. :)

Anyone have idea or experience about this or I have to buy a programmable one if I want to do something?

the engine is just too basic to have any type of mappable ecu.

if you want to run one, look at megasquirt ignition stuff. swedge on here fitted one to a 2.0 8v on carbs

Yes, I seen Swedge's carb conversion. Also available a programmable ignition control like the MS in my country (Roxracing around 100 GBP (http://www.roxracing.eu/index.php?id=_01_&oldal=webshop&term_kat=01)). The GM ignition control in my 13NB looks complicated than the engine therefore it worth a try :)
