I have just fitted a E16SE into my nova which I have done the following to-
Big valve head (ported/polished and bored out inlet ports)
1300 inlet/cam box and cam
Lightened and balanced flywheel
currently running pierburg 2E3, although I am going to be fitting twin 40's
de-cat
I also plan to get a four branch
Was just wondering if anyone had any ideas of anything else I can do without spending silly money

sell the twin 40's so you can forge your block ready for a turbo :) other than that get a xe or let

Did think about turbo option. Didn't know how much work was involved though. Don't want to go 16v, want to keep the 8v

i was the same mate but in the end i decided i couldnt aford the power i wanted from my e16se. the turbo does involve a fair bit of work but there are threads on hear showing what they have done. theres a 2.0 8V out there too :P which you could run on twin 45's to get xe power
I'd put the original intake manifold and engine management back on..... using the 1300 inlet and carb is going to be limiting things somewhat.
A proper cam like an AST2 would be the next best thing to do for the money.

the 1300 cam has a higher lift does it not? I was told it has an 8mm lift. Was aiming to keep it looking like a 1200 engine still to make it abit of a suprise to people. I was considering the ast2 cam.
Oh.... keep it looking like a 1.2, My help ends here.
