Gte fuel pump/facet fuel pump

Hi I am in middle of putting bike carbs on my nova gte I have got a facet fuel pump to run them I am goin to fit this were the oe pump is now is the brown wire to oe fuel pump the live? If so can I run the live from facet pump to this?? Thanks dan

No. The brown wires on cars are generally earths. I think the brown wire goes from the pump, up through the grommet and then earths out on the inside of the boot by the tailgate IIRC.
I don't know anything about the Facet fuel pump, but if its just a replacement fuel pump then I dont see why you cant just replace the OE pump with your new one and wire it the same.
If you do accidentally wire it up back to front, then it'll pump fuel the wrong direction!!
