A piece of string comes to mind!

Go and ask your neighbours is probably your best bet regarding the size of house.

Depends on loooooaaaads of different things being used, it will all be on estimated reading anyway.

Which companies are you with?

the meters are with eon right now but as i work for britishgas and get a yearly discount i will more then likely move it over, just talked to them and there saying it will be 81 quid a month before my discount which doesn't sound to bad tbh

i can see my self using less then that as it has double glazed windows, a modern combi , gas hob (cheaper to run) and a garden so i can hang washing out rather then use a electric munching tumble dryer

the one up point of my old house is it was bang in the middle of 3 attached houses so you effectively rob there heat lol

2bed mid terrace. Approx £60 a month year round (goes up and down a tenner each way for summer/winter), using less energy than years gone by as I've insulated the life out of the loft, got new double glazing, got a new front door that dosent leak air etc.

Gas for heat and water then electric for everything else, we do have economy7 but tbh we don't make best use of that (e.g. washing and tumble dryer are run during the day lol)

they tell us on average you can save 30 quid a year switching from eco 7 to single rate if its not used, might be worth giving your supplyer a call, 30 quid is 30 quid lol

iirc its £300 to have the meter changed lol

And now we have a sort of utility room built I want to make the Mrs make use of Eco7 more by running the washing machine at night etc.

Gas and electric has just gone down to £56 a month :thumb:

Have an A+ combi boiler, wall and loft insulation plus double glazing. Gas central heating, gas hob and electric oven. Large 3 bed house plus extension.

Nobody in during the day though! With N-Power, eon and British gas are too expensive. Does vary by area though, I am in Bournemouth area.

Monthly bills are close on £1100 with full repayment mortgage.

I was very fortunate to get on the property ladder back in 2006, I would cry if have to pay my £775 a month on rent!

£300 for a meter change?? Wtf lol

Just take the corresponding meter tails out of the meter and ring up for single rates,

That's all anyone will do unless you have the old spinning disc meter, ( if you do use magnet to slow it down ;))

2 bed room semi detached? 83 a month and that covers the winter in Scotland!

That's with npower. Get onto money saving expert and they'll advise on the lowest cost for your postcode.

All in I'm out 1980 a month including car, insurance, council tax, home insurance and loans. About 1000 if I take cars and loans out.

3 bed mid terrace (2 flats knocked in to 1!) just me and our lass we pay on average a 10a a week on electric but that's with the tumble dryer and our lass not being able to turn things off after her! lol

As for the gas really not sure still paying off the last bill that she left me with when I realised she just stopped paying it! Their currently taking £70 a month but that should come down once the bills cleared. She likes the heating on too but when she gets too hot she just opens the door and heats the North East! spread the heat and all that! lol Tbh the house is way too big for just the pair of us but unfortunatlly I owe more on it than it's worth thanks to the market crash and a divorce! lol
