I know Mark Watts sold it but where did it go then as never seen or heard of it since.

I know Mark Watts sold it but where did it go then as never seen or heard of it since.




Ive asked that many a time and never really had a concise answer on it, i have heard that someone went to look at it after it was advertised with a load of Marks old pictures as being in pristine condition, only to get there and find it had been under a tree for years, had flat tyres and had rotted so bad the paint was fooked and the exhaust was on the floor under it, like i say this was never confirmed and i car even remember who posted it, think it was someone on jov tbf!

I tracked it down to a lad who was on MIG and toyed with buying it instead of G904 but decided not to as the guy was reluctant to show any recent pics of it and just said to come and have a look

I remember it being on ebay a few years ago in quite a state. I imagine it probably got scrapped or broken in the end?

Can't remember if this is the one I was told about at pv, lee was told the same by someone who's got one of the old skool novas with the intention of restoring it. Sure he said it was cadburys purple

This was at our South East meet 2 weeks ago. Was looking good but didn't realise the owner was going to sell it, only had it a couple of months.

Yep, still a turbo. I bought it last weekend.


Grill was missing, so I've sourced a new one which needs paint. Bonnet needs paint to fix a dent and remove the bonnet pins, and I'll get the front bumper done too.

Still looks pretty good considering when it was built, must have been running the turbo motor for 15 + years now?

Needs GTE stickers on the doors and the rear vinal fitting :)

What are your plans for it? Just enjoy having a classic? :)

Colour change and engine fitted in 1996.

Absolutely spot on. It needed plugs and the manifold gasket replacing. The old owner also messed up the actuator so it was only holding 12psi, now i've it back up at 15psi and it's running really really well.

Vinyl wouldn't suit the colour, but I have some GTE decals to add.

MAP18W spells Mark W and it Marks personal plate. So as much as it's known on that plate in the 90's, it wouldn't make much sense now.

I've a nice plate coming for it.

Sweet, he said to me it was the bloke before, Barry I think that had played with the actuator. I know he was trying to get it back to where it was before

Plus that Plate is currently on One of Mark's Astra VXRs, think its his Blue Sprint Spec one. next time I'm up Courts, i'll mention it to him that the car is still about.

I've been in touch with Mark, he's glad the car is Alive and well :-)
