An old Nova track car brought back to life.

This Nova was built in 2000 by a couple of mates for Knockhill use. It's an A-reg shell, fitted with a 20XE engine. There's a roll cage, a pair of Cobra seats and that's about it. Another friend bought it in 2002, and it continued to do well at the old Hot Hatch days. He sold it a few years later and it has since been through a few different owners. It's gone downhill somewhat since its glory days of a decade ago, but I had the chance to buy it cheap so I did - it's a piece of nostalgia and the fact it has survived so much means it deserves to be preserved.
It might not look great now, but it is still solid structurally. Plus we got it started without much hassle the other day and the engine sounds great. There's a few jobs to do, but nothing major. The deadline is Sept 16th, the aim being to get it back out on track again.

The engine bay. Front panel has gone awol and replaced with a bit of screwed rod. Picking up a replacement panel from down Bristol way at the end of the month. I've already stripped out a load of strange wiring that seems to serve no purpose.

Good project mate, good to see your getting this back to its former glory days on the track mate, hope to see it at knockhill
