Just put a deposit on this today to collect next weekend to replace the EP3 Civic. Didn't like them when they first came out but has really grown on me recently and they are pretty well specced. Came up at a price I really couldn't resist with 30k miles, full mot and the optional 19's, sat nav etc.

Needs one new tyre and the aircon regassing and maybe the bonnet painting.

Never seen those wheels I don't think! They make a huge difference!

They are the 19" Rage wheels. Don't think many people went for the option.

Nice
I looked at getting one recently but i need a diesel & the running costs in petrol were too much.
Shame they dont do a tyreR spec in diesel. The TypeS diesel just isnt the same.

Bought an Audi A3 SLine instead!

Nice motor! Still got the nova and mr2? A mate of mines got a ltd edition white one with white wheels. Really nice car. Don't think it's quite as fast as my mates older shape 1 though.

Still got the Nova, MR2 and other Civic at the moment! This new one isn't as fast as the current one but has a lot more toys and comforts. It's down about 50bhp though unfortunately.

Ha ha it's alright for some :)

Like you say it might not be as fast but if it has more toys and comfort when driving that makes up for a lot in my book. Speed isnt everything.

Cracking cars...but I am biased. My mates misses bought the same spec a while back. She vowed never to own one, but now loves it.

Much prefer the older one, the only newer shape one I'd get is the import unfortunately

Awesome motors these. Mrs Mike's dad had one last year from new, hes said he would never have sold it if he couldve fit his ski's in the back.

I'm really looking forward to getting it and sorting the few niggles out. Going to be sad to see my EP3 go though as its been the best car I've owned by some stretch. Will be a bit sad this week stripping all the nice parts off it and turning it back to standard but there is a lot more money in it that way.

Off to collect a standard exhaust system, cat and suspension for it today.

FD2? So much want for one of those!!! Saw quite a few in the works car park in Japan last year. Love them. Fetch good money though...

FD's are still around the £15k mark. Nice cars but for that sort of money I wouldn't be buying an NA FWD car.

I would not worry about mileage on any of the modern Honda's, the engines are great. My EP3 Type R clocked over to 115k miles today, doesn't use a drop of oil and still see's 8700rpm on a regular basis, makes me wonder why i'm selling it in some ways.

That car looks really well looked after and plenty of pictures, no dealers over here show anything like that many pictures when selling a car. Seem strange seeing the redline at 4500rpm.

Would hope to get £3k for standardish car (might leave coilovers on) and £4k with the mods on hence why it makes sense to sell them separate at there is about £2k to be made on selling the upgrades.

I'm not up on my diesels to be honest. Www.civinfo.com looks like a good site for info on them.

3k sounds alright, just a shame i check the insurance and it will match it for me :(, you going to shoot up a project thread for the new one mate

Lee H
22-07-12, 10:44 PM
My insurance is just over a grand at 30 years old, they are really harsh on the insurance for some reason.

Won't be a project thread for the new one as don't intend modifying it this time.....

Finally had the bodywork sorted, collected the car midweek but struggled to find anywhere to take photos due to weather/darkness.

Wings, bonnet and both bumpers have been painted. Looks pretty good, waiting for a proper sunny day to check the colour match out though.

Definitely need some tyre shine as well.

Convinced the missus she wanted the EP3 so still get to use that as well now, win win situation really although it has been returned to standard.

Nice car Lee,
You seem to have a thing for black cars lol and not letting go of your toys. Good man :)

Lee H

Bought a house now but hoping it won't impact the toys too much.

Have purchased a Hondata Flshpro tp remap the stock ECU now which I am having etuned (risky I know). Had to go out and do a datalog for the tuner after work and found a really decent spot for some pictures so would be rude not to.

Nice, I love those rims on these. Some red wheel lugs would set them off....
