does any one have this problem ?

on my cav the belt rubs the timming case 7 im killing belts evey 5-6months

is they a way to space the alternator out more?

is the v belt setup?

ive seen some xe's and the belt aint now were near the case?

Firstly make sure you have the single pulley on. You usually need to mod the RH chassis leg just below the turret. Most people cut it out and box it up, however some hammer it in. Solid engine mounts will also help. I'm sure someone will fire up some pics of the mod...

are the alt mount rubbers shot? is the belt too big?

v-belt is the early setup iirc, and i don't think there is a way moving it over...Is there any movement in the mount?

mount and bushes are solid with no movement at all

its strange as ive seen some alternators with a space between the v pully n the alternator it self

nope its all seated tidy on the rubbers etc dude
