Hi all, since removing my engine bay ive looked round most of the car and the part that worries me the most is this

im confident i can repair it but im wondering if this is a common rust point on novas and if so how have other people gone about repairing it? i havent got my wing off yet so i havent been able to inspect how to panels overlap etc. any advice welcome

Brad.

Common location, check both sides, should be easy enough to repair

Cheers mate, im sure i will be fine once ive taken the wing off to have a proper look. Is the part that is cracked just the inner wing and the turret is just spot welded to the inner wing correct?

yeah its quite common there, right where the spot welds are for the turret

clean it and and plate it from the bottom for a better looking finish

any where you find rust is a common place on a nova lmao

Well I wouldn't say it's "easy" due to having to weld directly above yourself, but it's been common in my experience.

IMO take it all back to bare metal & make a few nice plates to strengthen it at the same time.
