it wasnt standard - it was an option.

It was an option on all Nova's. I think it only came as standard half way through the G reg models on the GTE's.

No they didnt come with it as standard, but it was an option which many people chose to have...

my sr had 'aftermarket' central locking off a cav.
mates f-reg sr had factory fitted central locking

u say leccy windows was an option on all nova's. surely not. The Merits didn't have them, u had to get a 'Spin' or a 'Swing' to get leccy windows (+better interior etc) didn't you?

bloody hell, that many replys in one day, thanks for the input everyone, so my gte which is an f reg might have had central locking.

the bloke i got the car of said that the person before him took out the alarm and cut the central locking wires, ill have to check it out.

Thats how the model system went.

They were an OPTION if you wanted them added on you had to pay extra.
